Haka is a cultural thing that is based in New Zealand but is used around the world for special occasions. Kapa haka is a term of maori performing arts, Kapa haka is mainly for maori to experience and showcase their cultural and heritage through song and dance. Kapa haka is a type of dance that our ancides did during the war and is the display of pride, strength and unity. Facial expressions is one of the main things maori used. Women show their facial expression through their eyes, which is called pukana o nga whatu and men use their facial expressions through the pretuting tough which is called the Te wheterua o te anau rerou. Kapa Haka impacts me because I've always loved watching maori performing art and doing it no matter where I am.
